By mixing biomass, the addition can irrigate the culture medium at a very precise dosage. AMI Penta controls the irrigation flow so that the software in the mixer allows for different dosing strategies. Exact dosing ensures you control and thus success with your production.
The AMI Penta Bio Mixer is a high-precision bio fertilizer machine designed for sustainable horticulture. To convert the AMI Penta into a bio mixer, the AMI Penta Bio-venturi must be added.
As a reliable bio fertilizer machine, the AMI Penta Bio Mixer can be connected to your existing AMI Penta via the bio-part (venturi), or delivered as a new mixer equipped with the desired number of bio-venturi. Therefore, the mixer can also function as a common fertilizer mixer with e.g. Ec, but simply with the Bio-program as an extra option.
Software for all groups, recipes and control of valves are all included in the price – meaning no extra future cost if your needs change.
Please see the product sheet under download for more features and options.

AMI Penta is capable of managing up to 100 groups, each with its own start conditions. Within each group, you can select from 20 different fertilizer recipes, including data on EC, pH, and nutrient composition. Every group can control up to 30 valves, freely chosen from the 200 valves currently supported by the mixer. Up to 9 valves can operate simultaneously, ensuring optimal use of the system’s capacity. Both irrigation time and volume can be individually configured for each valve.
Emphasizing its high quality, AMI Penta features a main mixer pump from the renowned brand GRUNDFOS.
For traditional fertilizer mixing without biomass, you can read more about the AMI Penta Fertilizer Mixer.
To ensure a uniform water mix across all valves within the same group, fresh water and return water can be blended in defined ratio percentages. You can select up to 8 return water basins, each with individual control. In this way, return water is reused, and water resources are utilized more efficiently.
When purchasing an AMI Penta, you receive precisely the features and functionality required for your setup. Its software is built on a standard operating system, making it simple to update and expand with additional functions or increased capacity as needed. AMI Penta can be connected to a central PC via the SuperLink control program, enabling further analysis and extending its performance as an organic fertilizer mixer machine.
With AMI Penta, it is possible to reuse return water by blending it with fresh water in a defined percentage ratio. The return water is stored in a separate basin, ensuring that it does not mix with fresh water until the moment it enters the mixer. This controlled mixing helps optimize the use of water resources.
Irrigation and fertilization are carried out according to predefined fertilizer recipes, tailored to the specific needs of the plants. Since return water and fresh water are kept in separate basins, the return water basin can be designed with a smaller capacity — an important advantage that helps reduce unnecessary volume and cost.
Download diagramA potential risk when reusing return water is that infections drawn into the water may spread to other cultures. Therefore, it is essential to purify the water before it is recycled. This can be done in several ways, including the two methods described below:
UV Water treatment:
UV water treatment provides a gentle disinfection process. The system uses low-pressure lamps that emit UV-C light at a wavelength of 254 nm to purify the water in an environmentally friendly manner. It has been shown that this specific wavelength has the strongest effect on eliminating microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, and fungi.
You can read more here about UV water treatment and how we can help identify the right UV system for your production setup.
Here you can also find additional information on how to prevent infections in the water – and how to handle plant diseases if they are already present.
H₂O₂:
Another method involves dosing H₂O₂ concentrate, which helps improve fertilizer absorption. The amount of H₂O₂ is adjusted in relation to the water flow. It can be added via a bio-venturi mounted on the AMI Penta mixer – though the H₂O₂ system itself must be obtained from a separate supplier.
Two customers with the same need of irrigation with a precise dosing of biomass – and it should be controlled automatically. As there was no fertilizer mixer on the market, which was able to do so, they contacted DGT by Senmatic. This resulted in an exciting and enriching collaboration – but what was more important was that it also ended up with the development of a bio organic fertilizer machine that could meet the customer’s requirements.
