Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) is an essential part of production and quality processes at Senmatic.
PPAP is a structured approval process, where product quality is ensured, which enables a higher level of trust and confidence between customers and suppliers. PPAP creates certainty that suppliers understand production specifications, have controlled processes that ensures product quality, and can deliver products that meet customers’ specific demands.
Thereby, PPAP reduces the risk of production disturbances and costs in relation to quality failure. A constant process of monitoring, analyzing and improving enables the quality assurance, which PPAP creates throughout the production and lifetime of a product.
Failure Mode Effect Analysis (or failure modes) are some of the core elements of PPAP. At Senmatic, both Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA) and Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA) are central to calculate risk and prevent failure throughout the production stages.
