Thermocouple sensors

A thermocouple is a sensor that measures temperature.

What are thermocouple sensors?

A thermocouple is a sensor that measures temperature. It consists of two different types of metals, joined together at one end. When the junction of the two metals is heated or cooled, a voltage, defined in millivolts (mV), is created and corresponds to the temperature. A thermocouple is a simple, robust and cost-effective temperature sensor used in a wide range of temperature measurement processes. The commonly used thermocouple types are J, K, T, E and N and their characteristics are defined in IEC 60584.

High quality thermocouples

Thermocouples are very versatile and can be applied in many different applications, measuring a wide range of temperatures. Thermocouples from Senmatic are often used in applications such as marine diesel engines, incinerators and furnaces. Thermocouples are vibration resistant and durable in extreme conditions.

Our thermocouples are of high quality, which ensures a reliable and safe operation. They are available in both standard configurations and in custom solutions especially fitted to your solution.

You can read more about our different types of thermocouples and their specifications for temperature and installation, below.
