The LED fixture with controllable spectral composition – get better quality and higher output
The LED fixture with the Grow spectrum is mainly for open greenhouses. It’s big brother FL300 Grow was the first developed LED fixture, and was tested during 4 successive growth seasons at Gartneriet PKM – one of the largest flower growers in Europe. More than 300,000 Campanula were grown under the Grow spectrum, and despite the low electricity consumption the plants were growing very well, and were the same or even on some parameters better than the HPS quality.
Our FL100 variants are especially suitable for growing in layers, they can be interconnected – and are particularly suitable for vertical farming.
We can support you with a lighting plan showing your need for LED fixtures.
The only information we need from you is the following:
In case you have tables in your greenhouse, we would also like to know the height of them.
The lighting plan will show you the number and position of the fixtures and furthermore also the distribution of the light.
The FL100 Grow LED top-light is a fixture emitting light in the photosynthetic active region of the visible light spectrum. Our solutions suit most modern production greenhouses in the world and are designed to withstand the harsh environment of a greenhouse and keep working year after year. The minimalistic design means easy installation using standard connection technology, and with a minimal shadow footprint, the FL100 Grow is able to produce good quality plants year round. This makes it a natural replacement for the conventional HPS systems used today.
The light spectrum can be designed for individual crops in combination with LCC4 climate control systems. An alternative to the LCC4 climate control system is a small Control Unit which controls up to 49 fixtures. A further alternative is the LED Light Controller, which can be connected with your climate computer from another provider. That way you can maintain the full control of your LED installation.
The FL100 Grow is designed with an optical lens system that enables a traditional installation plan similar to HPS with homogenous distribution profle on plant level.
The picture shows the spectral distribution of FL100 Grow together with a general action spectrum of plants. Spectral distribution for FL100 shown for 2, 6, 10, 14 % blue
LEDs are far more energy effective than traditional lighting. With LED diodes you save energy and reduce your climate footprint compared to using HPS. In addition to improved efficiency, LEDs have a number of other environmentally friendly benefits: LEDs emit significantly less surplus heat, you produce less energy waste, as LEDs do not require frequent change of bulbs, and you maintain CO2 inside your greenhouse, as you do not open windows as with a warm HPS-fixture. Moreover, LEDs from DGT by Senmatic can be dimmed to limit unnecessary use of resources.
It has also been proven that blue and red LEDs are particularly effective in terms of growth regulation, and both shorten production times and optimize plant growth more effectively than chemical PGRs. As a result, you can reduce your use of chemicals. We also know that red LEDs reduce reproduction among pests.
