It is possible to have a combined temperature, humidity and also CO2 sensor. Combined sensors ensure that the weather conditions are measured in the same spot. Therefore, when combined in the climate control calculations, the different measurements are comparable. One sensor is used for each compartment. The sensor is aspirated. The air surrounding the crop material is sucked through the sensor, giving precise and instant measurement of the microclimate.
The temperature sensor has a surface-to-weight ratio that provides the right reaction time to changes in temperature. The humidity sensor is fully electronic and has a Teflon filter that protects the open chip to avoid droplet formation in high humidity. The measurement remains constant over many years and even when replaced, calibration is unnecessary. The sensor is maintenance-free.
The CO2 sensor works with infrared absorption. The readings are very accurate and constant measured over a long period of time. The sensor only needs to be calibrated once a year.
