Simple control of irrigation valves
VA60-8 is a low-priced high-quality irrigation controller that is very simple to operate. With VA60-8, an exact control of the time and start of irrigation – just when the plants need water – is ensured. The irrigation time is adjusted for each valve with the rotary switch and is started by pushing a button. If automatic starts are required, the VA60-8 is available with a time-switch that can be adjusted to fxed irrigation times, or a tensiometer may be connected that will start an irrigation when the soil or the irrigation mat has dried out.
Not all plants need water at the same time. There are differences in the different cultures in the house, or differences in the development stage of the plants. Unique to the VA60-8 irrigation controller is the ability to start separate watering in each irrigation group, just when the plants in that group need water. By connecting an external sensor such as a tensiometer or start tray separately to each valve, the valve starts independently of the other valves in the irrigation controller.
Depending on the pump capacity, several VA60-8 waterers can be started at the same time.
If the water capacity results in only one valve being allowed to water at a time, the waterers can be connected in a chain. When starting an irrigation and the 8 valves in the first irrigation dispenser have completed the watering time, the start signal will be passed on to the next dispensers. This option can also be used if all irrigations are to be controlled via an external start e.g. solar integrator or a common start tray.
As an extra safety feature, the irrigation controller sounds an alarm if there are problems with the irrigation, such as no water reaching the plants.
